New Nigeria Foundation (NNF) continues to promote community development by facilitating needs assessments, a structured process used to identify the priorities, resources, and development gaps of specific communities. A key area of the Foundation’s expertise is capacity building for Host Community Development Trusts (HCDTs) and fostering alignment with operators on sustainable community development plans. Through its Warri-based branch, Participatory Partnerships for Community Development (PPCD), NNF recently facilitated Community Development Plan (CDP) review meetings with the Agbonu Ogulagha-Ibe, Warri Kingdom Coastal, and Egbema OPUDIS HCDTs. Familiarize HCDT leadership with the 2026–2029 CDPs, Ensure the CDPs align with community priorities, Meet regulatory standards in preparation for submission to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).
In line with its commitment to strengthening collaboration, the Foundation also held a review meeting with Chevron Nigeria Limited. The discussion focused on reviewing Chevron’s CDP, clarifying planned projects, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and community expectations.
