Olayide’s background in Mass
Communication gives her a sophisticated grasp of human relations but her real
passion comes from using that background to build and sustain professional
relationships with the Foundation’s clients, partners, service providers,
etc. She joined the Foundation in 2002
as a Programmes Officer and is currently a Director, Programmes with
responsibility for programmes implementation and supervision; and managing the
programme staff to ensure set targets and objectives are achieved. She is emotionally intelligent and possesses
life skills with tons of demonstrable experience in training and manpower
development, community development, research and development, social investment,
journalism, and public relations. Layide has been involved in the conception,
design, implementation and supervision of various development projects and has
contributed to the successful execution of many of these projects both as team
leader and member. Prior to joining the
NNF team, Olayide had a distinguished career at the Financial Institutions
Training Centre (FITC) in various capacities including training and marketing
and worked in the print and electronic media. She also worked in the education
sector as the pioneer head of the Corona Teachers’ College, with responsibility
for the development and management of the College to achieve and maintain the
highest degree of educational standards and discipline. She studied Mass
Communication, has a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and a
Certificate in Facilitating Multi-Stakeholder Processes, from the Wageningen UR
Centre for Development Innovation, Wageningen, The Netherlands.
