NNF Partners with DAI in the implementation of the MADE Project

Since 2013, NNF has partnered with Development Alternatives Incorporated (DAI) Europe Ltd, U.K. on DFID’s Nigeria Market Development for the Niger Delta Programme (MADE).

The MADE project aims to increase income and employment opportunities for 150,000 people in the nine states of the Niger Delta region, particularly for the poorest and most vulnerable. MADE uses a Making Markets Work for the Poor (or M4P) approach to diagnose the problems and inefficiencies within identified sectors and design interventions that facilitate systemic change. NNF partnered with DAI in providing logistics and technical support for the programme at the design phase and is a member of the MADE Technical Advisory Board.

These functions were successfully implemented before the signing of a new contract for the participation of some NNF employees in the implementation of the project since 2013. Three members of NNF’s staff (Ganiat Tijani, Fisayo Alo and Olalekan Olapeju) were involved in the value chain studies on cassava, recycling and oil palm at the inception phase. Ganiat Tijani continues to provide technical support in the implementation of the oil palm value chain development component of the project.
