British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) organized a National Dialogue Session on Agricultural Policies and the Nigerian Smallholder Farmer on 6th October 2015. The event took place at the Southern Sun Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, with the theme Government Agricultural Policies and the Nigerian Smallholder Farmer”.

BATNF organised the event to provide an opportunity for experts and practitioners to have robust deliberations on the policy framework for the nation’s agricultural sector. This is in support of the current drive Prof. Obafemi Ajibola facilitating at the BATNF’s national dialogue session by the Federal Government to enhance the performance of the Agricultural sector. Prof. Obafemi Ajibola, the Managing Director of NNF and Mr. Innocent Azih, both members of BATNF’s Executive Working Group, facilitated the sessions.

The event was attended by over 90 participants from across the country. The outcomes of the dialogue session will be incorporated into the recommendations that would be presented to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development
