The Forum for Inclusive Nigerian Development (FIND) formerly known as Forum on Oil and Gas Revenue for Development (FOGARD), is an initiative of Nigerian leaders from across the country. The initiative aspires to enable participating states to diversify and grow their economies in ways that produce economic and social benefits among the citizens.
FIND members include a diverse and influential set of Nigerian leaders in government, business, community development, academia, youth and women empowerment, media and culture.
Since its launch in May 2014, the Forum has built consensus on a shared vision for diversifying Nigeria’s economy and government revenues “beyond oil”; produced a Call to Action to make case for multi-stakeholder governance to drive diversification; and promoted public discussion and debate through public forums, the Internet and the media.
In the first quarter of 2015, FIND members held a meeting with media executives on 13th January 2015 at Protea Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos. The objectives of the meeting included building shared understanding of FIND’s goals and objectives, identifying existing opportunities for engaging candidates for public offices and develop a plan for promoting the diversification message into the public discourse. The meeting was attended by representatives and editors of various print media. The Forum for Inclusive Nigerian Development (FIND) is organised and convened by New Nigeria Foundation and Consensus Building Institute, U.S. with support from Ford Foundation
