New Nigeria Foundation (NNF) prioritizes data validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability—key elements for effective decision-making, analysis, and implementation. From January 13th to 17th, 2025, NNF facilitated a validation workshop for Chevron Nigeria Limited’s (CNL) Fenceline communities—Ubeji, Aruakpor-Umah, Ekpan, Edjeba, and Osubi—at the Participatory Partnerships for Community Development (PPCD) office in Warri.

The workshop aimed to engage community leaders and CNL representatives with data gathered from the field, present and discuss the Community Development Plan (CDP), and assess how accurately it reflects the communities’ current needs. It also provided a platform for stakeholders to offer feedback on the report.

A total of 95 participants took part in the workshop to ensure comprehensive review and validation. By the end of the session, all stakeholders had a clear understanding of the data analysis process, confirmed agreement on prioritized projects, and validated the proposed 5-year implementation plan.
