The meeting of the Forum held on the 19th and 20th May 2015 at the Orchid Hotels, Lekki, Lagos. The meeting was attended by 14 Forum members with the main objective of reviewing and assessing post-election opportunities to advance FIND’s diversification goals at both state and national levels.

The meeting also identified states where there might be high potential for FIND to promote multi-stakeholder partnerships for economic diversification. A work plan for advancing FIND’s goals at the state level was developed. Seven states: Bauchi, Anambra, Gombe, Cross River, Niger, Kaduna and Delta states were selected based on certain criteria. FIND will seek ways to engage the governors of these states, and other interested states that sufficiently fulfil the conditions.

This is with a view to helping them develop feasible and sustainable plans to diversify the economy of their respective states and deepen revenue base by improving internally generated revenue.
