Deputy Director, Programmes
Olayide’s background in Mass Communication gives her a sophisticated grasp of human interactions but her real passion comes from using that background to build and sustain professional relationships with the Foundation’s clients, partners, service providers, etc. She joined the Foundation in 2002 as a Programmes Officer and is currently a Deputy Director, Programmes with responsibility for programmes implementation and supervision, as well as managing the programme staff to ensure set targets and objectives are achieved. She is emotionally intelligent and possesses life skills with tons of demonstrable experience in training and manpower development, community development, journalism, and public relations, and has robustly contributed to the conception, design, implementation and supervision of various development projects. She has contributed to the successful execution of projects in the private and public sectors, both as team leader and member. Some of the projects are in the areas of community development, social investment, research and development, and capacity and institutional building. In her roles at NNF, she has represented and made presentations on behalf of the Foundation at several conferences and workshops.
Prior to joining the NNF team, Olayide had a distinguished career at the Financial Institutions Training Centre in various capacities including training and marketing and had worked in the print and electronic media. She also worked in the education sector as the pioneer head of the Corona Teachers’ College, with responsibility for the development and management of the College to achieve and maintain the highest degree of educational standards and discipline.
’Layide studied Mass Communication, has a postgraduate degree in Business Administration and a Certificate in Facilitating Multi-Stakeholder Processes, from the Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation, Wageningen, The Netherlands. In addition, she is a member of the Nigerian Institute for Training and Development (NITAD). She is married with children. Striving with her colleagues to meet clients’ needs keeps her engaged and excited about her job.
